Honestly, I think this might be up there with one of my fave lunch spots in the deen. ?
I was heading to a work meeting and it was decided that we would go to FoodStory. At the time, I kind of forgot that I am gluten free (I know, how can you forget that…) and started wondering about (an hour before) whether there would be an option for me.
I thought, surely there will be! I’ve been following FoodStory for a while on Instagram and I was sure I’ve seen something to do with food allergies and Vegan options.
As you probably will have noticed if you are gluten free, a lot of the Vegan options contain lots of gluten which means, unfortunately, it is a no go.
Anyway, I turned up, thinking, ah well! I’m sure I’ll find something, if not… a coffee will be perfect. ☕️
So, I turned up and they had the salad that I tasted, about 2 years ago (when I wasn’t gluten free) and I remember asking them for the recipe because it was so delicious and I’m not joking…
I have dreamt about it for a long time. I even tried to make it once or twice… unfortunately I just cannot do it justice. It is so tasty and so healthy! I’m all about being healthy… as LONG as it tastes good ?.
See below. ? Sweet potato, mushrooms, rocket salad and satay sauce.
If you’re in and around Aberdeen, check it out. You will love it, there are loads of different options! If you’re a coffee lover, I would also recommend THIS bad boy! ?
Say hello to the dirty chai latte. The worlds most beautiful and delicious coffee I’ve ever had the pleasure to taste… I mean LOOK at it.
I mean it when I say, this place is a little gem and a real asset to our city.
Pop in, if you’re around. You’ll find FoodStory on Thistle Street in the city centre.
Happy lunching, my friend.
Love Lauren ❤️
