For as long as I can remember, I’ve had sore stomachs, to the point my mum took me to the doctors and told the doctor that there was DEFINITELY something wrong with me. The doctor didn’t think there was anything wrong and kept turning my mum away.
As I got older, I got used to the dull pains inside my stomach but I never stopped complaining about them. It was not until I was sat in my friends house having dinner and he said; “You always complain you have a sore stomach, ESPECIALLY after you have just eaten, there is gluten in this meal, maybe you should cut out gluten.”
Since the moment I gave up gluten, I have had 1 stomach pain and it that is because I didn’t realise some sausages contain gluten. ? (Heads up BTW if you didn’t know!)
Having a sore stomach now is just THE worst! I’m so used to not having any pains that I just count myself so lucky I’ve finally realised what it is and the change it has on my life is just incredible. I always feel so silly explaining it to people that have known me all my life…
So… you can’t eat bread anymore?
Nope! No more bread (unless of course it is gluten free) but there are so many more positives to never eating bread again, I wouldn’t ever go back to eating gluten! It has been an incredible journey and I’m so thankful I finally found out what was upsetting my stomach!
if you do get continually sore stomachs, I would recommend you cut out gluten for a week and see what happens, see if you feel better. What have you got to lose?
