As you are probably aware, going out when you have a dietary requirement can be a NIGHTMARE.
Especially because you don’t want to be… THAT person, who is the problem at the table and has to ask the staff a billion questions before you make your choice.
Well, I did some groundwork for you and I found THIS place!
This place can be found in Aberdeen International Airport. So, if you are heading for a holiday or a little jolly away anytime soon and need some munch before you go, The Distilling House in the departure lounge is a fab place to check out.
The Distilling House is a bar and dining spot that represents everything about the North-east of Scotland and provides you with time to relax and refresh (exactly what you need in an airport, if you ask me!)
It offers a range of tasty treats, from all day breakfast dishes to hand stretched pizzas, burgers and what kinda place would it be without, A FISH SUPPER! ?
So many gluten free options, I didn’t know what to choose from. If like me, you are gluten free, you’ll know that CHOICE isn’t a thing in our world. I settled on the Spicy Chorizo Salad.
I also managed to head up to The Northern Lights Lounge, which is one of my favourite places to go in Aberdeen Airport as it is relaxing and you can really treat and pamper yourself in this part of the airport.
This particular lounge is the locally-inspired passenger lounge and you can enjoy the most spectacular views of the runway. (I won’t ruin your surprise by showing you a pic of this, you’ll have to go check it out yourself!)
The food menu is endorsed by Craig Wilson, Aberdeenshire’s Kilted Chef. Jimmy Buchan and Calum Richardson from The Bay have also made their mark on the wall.
A truly unique and relaxing way to start your holidays, I reckon!
Wanna check out the inside before you go?
Check out the little video I made below. ?
Let me know if you get a chance to visit and what you tried, I would love to hear from you.
Love Lauren ?
